As the results of congenital heart surgery continue to improve, many of our patients have now reached adult age. Adult-congenital heart disease is a spectrum of these complex residual diseases that may need to be addressed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory or operating theatre. Some adults only present in adulthood for the first time with a previously undiagnosed heart defect.
